Yes the Ladies Day went ahead at the Open Non Winners drag at Blackpool on Saturday, despite everyone being hu
ngover from the supper dance the previous night !!! Although I must say the turn out in numbers was very disappointing....... Listening to women the night before I woke up the next morning running out to get more prizes, thinking jeepers there's going to be loads dress up their hats and wellies today .......... How foolish was I !!!
A whopping number of 5, yes you read it correctly, 5 people dressed up, and I was one of those. It turned out there was a prize for everyone !!!!!!!!! Never again ......!
To be fair to those who did enter, they did it very well. As we said it was just for fun and all about creativity and imagination with wellies and / or hats when it came to impressing the judges, myself Stephanie and Christy Keating. (although we didn't see Christy until we were announcing the winners !!!!)

To arrive looking like an easter bunny with nobody else dressed up in the field was just so funny.... Thank God for Marion Harrington, Eleanor Wade & Jennifer Cambridge as they did really dress up. Jennifer was stunning in her navy & pink outfit and was definately the most stylish, but it was all about creativity so Marion Harrington won this for her hat.
Well done to all who took part as it was just for fun and hope ye enjoyed it !!!
